I was born and raised in Italy, and moved to the States when I was 16 to get treatment for a vascular malformation located on my right arm. My mom went to school for and worked as a fashion designer so I grew up surrounded by the fashion world. I always liked the modeling world, photography, and make up and the idea of expressing oneself while portraying different roles. However, coming from a Country like Italy I never thought there was an opportunity for people who like me had a disability. But that changed after modeling and working on my first photo shoot, and that’s when I realized that it wasn’t just a lingering feeling but what I was really passionate about. I would like to be able work on my experience, so that eventually one day I could possibly get enough exposure to create a foundation dedicate to research on vascular malformations so that no other families would have to live their life to move and find someone to cure their kids. Cause I know it surely took a toll on my family. And because I wish I’d seen a picture of models with disabilities back when I was teen to tell me that you don’t need a healthy body to be beautiful.
