I received my first formal education in photography while I was at Illinois State University. A few years later I found myself employed as a photographer/videographer for the Springfield Fire Department. Although our Audio Visual department has long since been transferred to the Mayor's office, I still perform the same duties with the exception of "chasing fire engines". Much of my photography at work consists of portraiture and promotional photos for the convention and visitors bureau. Outside of work I spent 13 years serving as the photographer for the Single Action Shooting Society which included the annual convention in Las Vegas as well as San Antonio. The images I created were published in the New Mexico travel guide as well as the Wall Street Journal. The photos were mainly used for promotional purposes. At one point I somehow got involved with lingerie photography. It was a field I certainly had not planned to involve myself with but when someone likes your work, they tell others, and they tell others! The majority of my work now is made up of editorial, fashion and swimwear. I experimented with pinup photography and loved it! My goals are to continue to develop knowledge so I can better serves those whom I work with. My goal with MM is to be able to reach out to models across the country when I happen to be visiting their state.
