Beyond the means of capturing the subject it’s all still about the light. How to use light to celebrate your subject, to reveal and conceal, and bring out that inherent magic that infuses every person, place or thing.

I have been a professional, commercial photographer since 1978, creating high quality photography for the advertising and corporate communities. My goal all of these years has been to deliver great work, on time and on budget. My studio is located in the Texas Hill country, right outside of Austin and it gives me a great base to do assignments in Texas and also as a point of departure to other parts of the world. I like the challenges that come with the different genres of photography and ultimately it’s about loving what I do and my interest in doing the very best job I can. I have included portfolios on the site of people, places, products and architecture.

I have been working in digital photography since 1994 when it started to be apparent that this was the direction the industry was turning. That early involvement has paid off for me and my clients as this technology has become the way of photography. A few years ago I accepted the challenge of teaching digital photography at Austin Community College. These courses are centered around Photoshop. This has further advanced my understanding to the point that I now also do consulting and offer workshops on digtal photography as well as lighting and studio techniques.
