About Me

I am a student at Southwest Minnesota State University. I am currently working on my Bachelors in Fine Art. I am a sophomore and take most of my classes online. When this is not possible, I live in Minnesota for that semester.

I am a painter looking for live models to diversify my portfolio. I most enjoy working with surrealism, unrealistic colours and abstraction. I am looking for faces and unique body types for my junior review. My goal is to make a few of my abstract drawings into more realistic paintings. Want to be part of blending reality with abstractions? Me too! Contact me if you are interested in modelling for any of my abstract drawings.

When creating figure work, I do ask the models to be quite involved in the creative process. This is a team effort, and you, as a model, are valued. Without you, this can not happen. I ask all models to stay emotionally checked in thought out the session. Meaning if you chose the emotion- say joy, sadness, depression or elation, you stay in that emotion the entire session. We will create safety measures based on your preferences.
When or if you need them, we will talk about the effects this modelling style can have on you in and out of session. Your mental state matters quite a bit to the session and my studies. I focus on how human emotions show through the whole body.

Please note, when working with me, please only choose emotions you know you can handle—your mental and physical health matters.

I have won a few juried shows in New York. My work has been shown in The Art House NYC show Grow in 2017 and the Van Der Plas Gallery NYC in 2018. My paintings have been shown locally in Southwest Minnesota. They have occasionally been displayed on the front page of the Marshall Independent and Tyler Tribute newspapers in Minnesota through my high school and my current college works.

I do take on commissions and create customised works. "Art's Storm", Commissioned by Art Bower, was displayed in the BA Building Southwest Minnesota University for almost two years before going home with my patron. My current commission is of an Irish pub scene. I need faces and gestures for this work. Interested? Contact me.

I am looking for models to do virtual sessions via video chat. I am disabled and will need you to come to me if you wish to be live. If models agree, they must stay within our bubble until the session is over or Covid is no longer an issue.

Fall semester 2020, December 12th, I won the Mary and Jack Hickerson Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships awarded at Southwest Minnesota State University.

I am the first international art student to take a figure drawing at SMSU spring semester, January 2021. I convinced the art department to take me on, and it was a stunning success for a first semester that was all done via video chat. A round of applause pleases for my spring 2021 models! You can check out their results here or on my Instagram.

December 2021 I was selected to be the headliner for the SMSU student exhibition in the William Whipple gallery. The Name of the show was named after my main narrative figure work called "Go Tell the Bees I am Gone". The show ran from December to the end of January 2022.

I want to work with models who are willing to trade time for drawings and paintings to bolster both of our portfolios would be appreciated. I am also willing to work for models unrelated to their portfolios in exchange for their time. Feel free to open all negotiations. I am willing if you are willing.
