I’m John Santoro and I want to make people look great. I’ll bring a ton of exciting experience to the task.

I’ve photographed across the nation and across Europe as a portrait, news and travel photographer for United Press International and as an independent. My job has been making beautiful images that tell a story. My work has appeared in major publications including the New York Times, Skiing, Sports Illustrated and more.

Since settling in Southern California more and more business contacts and friends kept asking me to make natural and relatable images for them that convey who they are to the world. So, I created The Headshot Works to handle that demand.

In the Internet age a quality headshot is essential to an effective online presence. Everyone should have a great headshot! That’s why I keep The Headshot Works modest and manageable so you get the headshot you need, easily and affordably.

Hey, I'm interested to come to America in future but at the moment while traveling is still difficult, I am offering remote shoots afternoons on Wednesdays or Mondays Melbourne time until March 8th. I'm currently working with another photographer to do these shoots but I hope in future to get my own gear and do more on location remote shoots. I have a CBD apartment with a rooftop balcony, large natural light windows, a range of backdrops, props & can use the buildings facilities of a gym, spa, pool & sauna. My rates for remote shoots would be less than what I charge for in person shoots. Let me know how many hours you would like me to quote you for and if you like to pay by PayPal or a bank transfer to my UK bank or AUS bank. We would tether the camera to the laptop and screen share so you can control the settings/shots & we could chat over FaceTime or WhatsApp during the shoot. The gear we have is a Sony full frame camera with a range of lenses available; 50mmf1.8, 85mmf1.4gm, 17-28f2.8, 28-75f2.8, 105f1.4gm, 70-200f2.8gm
