I've been a fine art model and self portrait photographer for 10+ years. I've been a nature/flora/fauna photographer for about as long. Recently, I've been venturing into shooting models, friends, anyone of any age who is willing to get in front of my camera nude or in as little clothing as they're comfortable. As you'll be able to tell from my portfolio, I prefer fun, wacky, fine art, different ideas and models who are willing to take on those ideas. Sometimes I jump into the frame with the model using techniques I use for my own self portraits (tripod/timer, etc.). I always have a discussion with models before hand about what they are comfortable showing or don't want to show, and tailor my concepts to that. My concepts are generally non sexual and non touching in nature. Models will sign a photo release. I have need for models of any age, gender, and skill level who would like TFP (trade for photo). Photos are delivered via a Dropbox link within 2 weeks of shoot. Or I have need for paid professional/traveling models. I do have funds for paying models, generally in the $100 per hour or less range. I charge $50 per hour as a model, so that's more my ideal range for paying, especially if I'm to work with someone repeatedly... I need them to be affordable. But, sometimes am willing to splurge on traveling models. :) I am a working artist, so not rich, but I do believe professional models should be compensated for their experience. Or a combo of tfp/paid, etc. Please reach out if coming through my area (I have access to an indoor studio (old school house) in Dresden, can rent studio space in Columbus/Lancaster, and have access to outdoor locations throughout Southeast Ohio) and see if we can come to a mutually beneficial arrangement and make some art happen. Note that all photos will be posted to the internet (my Patreon), here, IG, Twitter, etc. I can use models who wish to hide their face/head, but I wanted to state that photos will be used and posted. Most of the models I shoot are my friends and non-professional models, but I am happy to give you professional models that I have shot with for you to check my references for your safety.

CLOTHING/APPEARANCE: Please do not wear tight underwear/clothing before the shoot, as it leaves lines on the skin (and generally I attempt to shoot a photo how I prefer and do very little, if any, editing or post shoot work). A slip-dress, old sweats or scrubs are generally good choices (especially if I've mentioned body painting you as you'll go home still paint covered). I create concept to-do lists for each shoot and if any specific clothing is required for the concepts I have in mind, I will let you know. Otherwise, you don't need to pack any or can assume I have it covered. Jewelry - I prefer you do not wear jewelry, including wedding bands. I like models to be able to fully take on the role the concept requires; and most of my concepts will require the model to be more like a mannequin who can transform to the concept. Hair - light and simple. Body hair - no preference. Makeup - I do prefer simple, clean makeup over no makeup, especially if your face will be showing in the concepts. Keep it light, but some coverage and emphasis on features is nice since, again, I don't do much editing afterwards. Nails - I prefer neutral/natural nails. If painted, make sure they are not chipped or in poor condition.
BRING: Photo ID, snacks, water, medicines, bugspray/sunscreen/easily removable but sturdy shoed hiking attire if shooting outdoors.
ESCORTS: Escorts are always welcome if you prefer. They should bring phone/book to keep them occupied, if needed.
SCHEDULING: I take off from paid work to create art. If you no call/no show I will not shoot with you again. No exceptions.
MODEL RELEASE/COPYRIGHT: I will inform you of concepts prior to shoot, and that day at the shoot. If there's anything you're not into it will be nixed from the list. If there is anything you don't want shot, don't point it at the camera and let me know so I avoid it. You will be asked to sign a printed model release at the beginning of the shoot. All photos belong to me. If the shoot is paid, you will not receive any further compensation other than the agreed upon hourly rate (including but not limited to copies of photos). If the shoot is TFP (trade for photos) you will receive a link to a Dropbox file within 2 weeks of shoot that contains all photos from the shoot that you look good in and I would be happy to have my name on. (Any goofy face, poor lighting, blurry, etc. will be removed.) Generally this is 40+ photos for a 1.5+ hour shoot. These will be unedited. If I later edit any, I will provide them, as a courtesy, for you to do with as you wish. All TFP photos still belong to me and should be credited to me (@carrieturnermodel on IG) as you post or share, but you are free to edit, crop, or otherwise play with them. You are also free to use them/post them as sets on Only Fans or Patreon or similar type pages, sell them, or whatever you wish, crediting me somewhere.
