I paint portraits and give them framed and ready to hang to my subjects, many of whom are drawn from my past. I prefer to paint young families or grandparents with grandchildren. Many of the family portraits are posted on Facebook as works in progress allowing friends to comment and critique my work (though I prefer critiques be handled in PM’s). Occasionally I am taken with an image or an idea and paint a model. I have modified images of professional models and compensated the model with the oil painting. I admire beauty, but also respect guts and integrity. I want my paintings to be loved enough that they don’t end up in a dumpster or a GOOWILL or RESTORE in 5 years or less.
