I am an American realist painter inspired by tradition.

Early my career, I spent time studying in Seattle and New York. Inspired by Titian, Michelangelo, da Vinci, and Caravaggio, it soon became apparent that a move to Florence, Italy would be necessary to learn the techniques of the old masters. After graduating with honors, I returned to the Pacific Northwest forever changed. I create well crafted works that invite the spectator into the art. I paint to capture the honest moments in life; to illustrate that life isn't always the perfect images found in social media, but is infinitely more interesting.
