My name is Matt Wilkins, and I've been taking pictures for most of my life. My father is a professional photographer in Texas. So I grew up helping out in the dark room, assisting at weddings, and learning the photography trade. My father says I have the "photographer's eye". I'm not sure if that's supposed to be genetic or not, but it helps me to take great pictures. When I'm not taking pictures, I'm using my Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering to study satellite orbits. I find that I need a creative outlet to balance the technical part of my life.

At the moment, I am not focusing on any one style of photography. I am comfortable shooting outdoors and on location in available light. I also have portable studio lighting equipment for indoor work or supplementing outdoor lighting.

I excel at documentary style event and wedding photography by capturing those special moments that you were only passingly aware of during the big day. I am also well versed in the digital world and can bring your artistic visions to life using a combination of photography and Photoshop. I have extensive knowledge of the web, graphic design, and professional printing requirements. I will be able to tailor my work to suite your needs.

My rates are flexible and no job is too small! You can pay for everything up front and own the rights to the photographs or you can let me host the photographs on my website and purchase only those images that you need or want. You can even share the link to your photographs with your family and friends. It's up to you!
