About Me

I love photography because I love light and shadow; everything else is secondary. I'm inspired by the dramatic lighting of Old Hollywood, the sounds of Brazilian music spilling onto the boardwalk on a hot summer night, the idea of implication, and the surreal and absurd nature of life.

Working With Me

• I like a relaxed, friendly atmosphere on set, with music we can vibe with (which, depending on the shoot, can be a model's playlist, or something I have in mind to set a particular mood)

• I like to dedicate the first 10/15 minutes of a shoot (after setup) to workshop how I like to shoot - I'm not super into the more fashion appropriate macarena style of shooting, and I just want to make sure we're on the same page to get the best shots possible that day.

• Unless you are very good with makeup, I prefer there to be a makeup artist and/or a hairstylist (depending on the type of shoot)

• Prior to the shoot date, we will thoroughly discuss wardrobe, location, theme, length of shoot, etc

• I'm happy for you to have an escort, as long as they also act professionally and do not get in the way.

Image Delivery

• Depending on time, we can take a look at images during/after the shoot and select a few favourites (for model, MUAH, stylist, etc).

• For my own work, I prefer to wait a week and not look at images before I edit them because I like seeing things with fresh eyes.

• Within 2-4 weeks, you'll receive a high resolution set of JPGs, at least 5, depending on the shoot (ie. we may have done several looks, in which case, I'll send a few more images to have good coverage over the looks)

• I like imperfections & reality. Although images will be edited to look their best, they will have minimal retouching, and absolutely no morphing of the model's body will be done whatsoever. I'm working with you because of your look, not because of some fantasy; if that's what I was interested in, I'd become an AI artist and have complete freedom.

Official Stuff

• Model release forms will be signed prior to shoot day to reduce paperwork and hassle for us all. If it's a studio shoot, signing the form will be required before I book the studio. I like contracts because they set clear expectations and are a great way to start off on a great, trustworthy note.

• TFP work will generally be limited for personal print and online promotional & portfolio, non-commercial use.

• Commercial work will have contracts outlining what's covered.
