Born In Ponce,Puerto Rico but raised in Bushwick Brooklyn NY, Johnny Rivera has been acting for 3 years. His passion and dedication to the arts has led him to showcase his talents in levels he could only imagined. Getting his "break" 3 years ago with theater company "Teatro El Puente",Johnny has come a long way in a short period of time. He is now a guest teaching artist with The Manhattan Theater club and travels the inner city Junior High Schools,and High Schools,performing with Family Life Theater and Educational Play Productions. Johnny Plays "Shine" in Candido Tirado's Touring Play,"Momma's Boyz."
    In the fall of 2007 through the summer of 2008,Johnny had the opportunity to Co-produce,Assistant Direct and Star as "Angelo" in the film "9 Digits", which now is in post production.
His Film credits Include "Nelson" in the movie "Liberty Kid", which won the Best Feature Film award at the 2007 HBO International Latino Film Festival. He also plays the lead in the short film "Papi Chulo" which was an official selection at the 2008 HBO International Latino Film Festival and the "Urban World VIBE Film festival."
His Other Credits include "Chink" in the comedy series "The Chronicles" (Official Selection of the 2007 TOMI FILM Festival) and "Johnny" in the short film "Lost Brother" Which is an official selection at this years(2009) HBO International Latino Film Festival and which is his 3rd year in a row with a film at the HBO Film Festival.. He is now taking on other challenges. He is the Drama/Acting teacher at El Puente's leadership center which is an after school program for inner-city High school students ages 14-19.
