Photography has been my hobby for almost 20 years, and I've been doing amateur modeling shoots since 1991.  I've previously worked as a photojournalist, but now photography is a hobby for me once again.

I don't have a set theme I normally shoot - I'm interested in all looks and ideas, I'm really just about capturing the beauty of a moment if I can.

I'm interested in shooting anywhere in the Maryland/DC/N. Virginia area and make occasional trips into West Virginia. 

I'll travel further for shoots that peak my interest.  Feel free to contact me for shoot requests, I will often TF* in lieu of payment. While I still carry my 35mm, now I mostly work in digital SLR.

YOUR PHOTOS TO YOU:  If we are working a TF deal I will work to get you a CD or DVD of your images as quickly as possible, the longest turn around for me has been 2 weeks (the only time it took longer the model was moving to a new address and asked that I wait until she had moved in).  The images will be cropped, rotated, and adjusted for light if needed and possible.  I am not a photoshop wizard, but am willing to work with you if there is a specific blemish or similar issue on specific shots.  Generally however, I'm about capturing the beauty that IS, rather than making something artificially prettier by retouching.  That's not a knock to all the great retouches and artwork made from the photos on here, just a personal preference.  (and what I tell myself to console my utter lack of PS skills.)

Hello,

The National Center for Citizen Safety (NCCSAFE) seeks to provide resources and information for the public in how to act in an event of domestic terrorism. You can read more about our organization at Nccsafe.org. We are conducting an upcoming shoot we have on Sunday, June 26th at 10am-1pm. I know it is completely last minute but if you are free, we would love to have you. We are doing a marketing campaign for our organization to honor those lost in the Orlando shooting at Pulse nightclub. We were thinking about doing rainbow inspired make up look to engage with the LGBT community and get the word of our organization out there with the hashtag #SurvivorStrong.

The work would be on a TFP basis, with professional photos for you to use for your professional portfolio. The photos will also be used all over social media, so you will gain an outreach from that as well. The location will be in Old Ellicott City.. There will be 2-3 models. I am looking to hire make up artists, a photographer, and a hairstylist.

We also have an event on August 20th, our second 5k Fun Walk and Run where we will need a photographer. The event starts at 7:00am and will follow into the afternoon. You can find more information about the race here: https://www.facebook.com/events/749360921867323/
