Photographer Meet Up!

NEO STROBIST, North East Ohio Strobe users.

Neo Strobist is a networking event held in Cleveland that bring creative minded people to comfortable locations where we can explore different lighting technique.

If you (either as a model, stylist, designer or photographer) are interested in creating or improving on your existing portfolio, then our events is the place to be:  network, learn, teach and socialize.

We are planning for our 2011 events.  Tentatively, we will be producing four (4) events; they are:


Aug 28  Lighting:  Basic to intermediate. 

Low cost to higher end gear.  Creative Lighting and use of Gel.  Possible swap meet for equipment.  Test products from our sponsors (to be finalize).  NAMES WILL BE TAKEN FOR RAFFLE on OCT 16 MEET.  Fee: 30.00 (compensation for models)


Sept 25  Glamour & Boudoir.

Enough said.  Yes, we -will- have MALE models IF there are interest.  +18

This is when we want to use our most creative lighting techniques.  We will used the techniques and equipments from teh Aug 28th Meet.  Attending the previous meet is not mandatory.  Possible swap meet for equipment.

NAMES WILL BE TAKEN FOR RAFFLE on NOV 6 MEET. 

Fee: TBA  Yes, it's a higher fee.  Fee will be determine by:

1, Photog to Subject Ratio:  You want more shoot time, you pay for the model.  You want cheaper cost, you share the model:  6 photog to 1 model as an example.  We could have 5:2 if there is enough photographers willing to buy in.

2, "Level" of nudity.  Clothed = $.  Lingerie & scantily clad = $$.  Partial nudity = $$$.  Full nude = $$$$.  This is what the models charge.

3, "Time On":  How long should we shoot?  How much will the models charge for their time?  Tentatively, it looks like a 3 to 4 hour event.


Oct 16  Lighting Tricks, Portfolio building & Simple Photoshop tricks for the non-technical people. 

Basic, Intermediate and some Advance lighting.  For the aspiring photographer who is interested in charging money for their services, this event will offer assistances in building your portfolio.  We'll have a work station to explain some simple Photoshop techniques.  Possible swap meet for equipment.  We will be raffling off demo equipment!  Fee: 35.00 (model, Photoshop person & renting work station)


Nov 6  Wedding Lighting!

This is what many had been asking for!  This is where you will learn how to light individuals and groups.  Raffling off some demo equipment!  Fee:  TBA


We had an idea for shooting babies and children; but, that's up for discussion.

We are Right True Media, a full service photography and design studio servicing Cleveland for the past 10 years.  We deliver high quality at the best price.

We ARE an established business with a REAL physical studio in a Commercial Zoned area, not a "studio" in someone's basement.  We have over 10 years experience in the business.  We are a member of Society of Northern Ohio Professional Photographers, a networking & training organization for photographers. 

I am a board member of  Society of Northern Ohio Professional Photographers.  Established in 1949, shortly after World War 2, to allow photographers to network with each other, to share tips and experiences, to train new photographers in the profession, and to help consumers in selecting the right photographer for their needs. 

As a member of SONOPP who does work in Public and Private School Systems, I have gone through Government Background Check.
