Moniqua McCoy aka Saphire was Born and raised in Long Island NY.She began modeling/acting at 14 yrs old and began singing and songwriting even earlier! She started her first R&B group at age 13 and by the time she reached 18 she had been in several groups, competed in numerous talent shows and built up the confidence to go solo! She soon after discovered her passion for rap and decided to incorporate it into her future projects! Her modeling career has taken her across the country! Shes done everything from runway, videos, films, print and promtional modeling. Saphire has been featured in xxl,sweets,and vibe magazines she's appeared in movies such as belly, durdy game, madia goes to jail, fighting and several other independent films. She's also appeared on 5 episodes of The Dave Chappelle Show and was featured in a colt 45 campaigne on their billbords and calendar and the list goes on! Currently She is a Single mother/ Real Estate Broker/ Personal Trainer /Model/ Actress concentrating on theatre as well as completing her solo debut music project produced by Erick Sermon of EPMD! Look out for her first solo calendar coming 2011! Saphire loves the entertainment field in every genre and knows the game very well and refuses to comprise herself for fame! She will continue to put God 1st as she awaits the right opportunities to come! Her motto is "aim for the sky and do it with integrity".
