She cries when she sees a bird in a cage,
She "d set him free if she had her way,
'Confinement' s a wwrd she'd never say.
She lives in the woods and swims in the streams,
And young men she's never met fill up her dreams,
They'd dream of her,too,if they only knew.
She gives names to rocks,and clouds,and trees,
She can't keep her hands off whatever she sees,
She sleeps under juniper,and chestnuts,and pines.
She never takes "No" for an answer.but then,
She always says "Yes" whenever she can,
You should see her at night when the shadows roll in,
You should hear her when she sings,she sounds like the wind.
The blindfolder dancer turns circles of fire,
That's how on the Black Sea they show their desire,
A rope and a match is all they require.
She moves like she's swinging torches on strings,
She dances through curved air as if she had wings,
Sometimes if you ask her,she even sings.
And the sound of her singing....rings....
They opened the cage door one day,and I flew,
Across mountains ranges and oceans to you,
You think I'm the wind,but that's just how i sound,
I'm a bird,and I'm singing the free air I've found....
