I am a skilled photographer with years of experience who wishes to be selective in the jobs taken, but retrains a broad range of interest.

I have new studio space in Mechanicsburg, PA (near Harrisburg) but I am from the Reading, PA area.  I am looking to grow my portfolio and take on some local-area for-pay work, too.  I prefer less travel these days, but for the right job I will go wherever.

I try to take whimsical types of portraits and leave the other boring head shots to the other guys.  Big bold bright expressions are great, and a funny pose or prop adds to things, I think.

I am a Nikon shooter and have been since my start in film days and now into the digital realm.  I have two D300s and other Nikon bodies for backup.  My favorite lens for people (both in studio and outside) is the 17-55mm f/2.8, but I have a ton of other lenses to dial in the right exposure for the right situation.

I run all of my images first through DxO Optics Pro (to correct any lens distortion) and then I hit photoshop to remove moles, pimples, whatever.

I prefer Alien Bees for studio lighting as they have been rock solid for me both in-house and on the road.  A few months ago I added their ring-flash and I love it for product/catalog shots.  I also have some SB-800s and diffusers for fill flash outdoors.  I have five bees in the stable right now and multiple soft boxes and other equipment to make you look your best.

For most shoots I highly recommend that all models bring multiple outfits and bring a friend, too.  I have a female assistant that I always have for nude/semi-nude shoots.  I am open to TFCD inquiries for models in the area or are willing to travel to my studio space to grow my portfolio and to get you valuable exposure.
