About Me

"If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him."  ~John F. Kennedy

I am a full-time professional photographer and have been longer than I sometimes want to admit. I currently manage a photography business and as well as photographing I hire, train and manage a team of photographers. My primary emphasis at this time is portraiture, sports and events coverage although I have experience in a wide variety of genres - commercial, advertising, editorial, fashion, glamour, and photojournalism. I also continue to work for a variety of clients and publications outside of my primary work and travel frequently.

I am available for both commissioned work as well as testing (trade of services) with models if I believe the results will be mutually beneficial. Extra points for a sense of humor, but if you have an idea or concept that you'd like to try please feel free to contact me and we can discuss it.

The majority of what I do these days is digital, although I still have a love and reverence for film. I work with pro-level equipment, both cameras, lenses and lighting and have both full studio lighting as well as portable lighting for location work. I maintain an eclectic and interesting inventory of vintage film cameras that I love to play with in the right situation, including vintage Polaroid cameras (unfortunately I have exhausted my supply of film for my vintage Polaroids).

I like sessions to be light and fun, and I'm laid back, easy to get along with, and easy to work with. If we work together I want you to have a great time as well as to create some fantastic images. I am happy to provide references, and I don't have a problem with escorts if that makes you more relaxed and able to work better.

RETOUCHERS - I do not use outside retouching services. Please do not send me friend requests as they will be denied.

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."    ~ Harold Whitman

"The camera always points both ways. In expressing your subject, you are also expressing yourself."  ~ Freeman Patterson
