About Me

Original Visual Individual.

I have recently moved from my California home base of 19 years down to Texas. I just bought a new house/ studio near the Dallas area a few months ago and am now very ready in 2024 to shoot out of my new spacious location with lots of natural light!
(The month of February will be very busy for me, with very little free time available for shoots, but  if the model and ideals are right, we can try and make it work...  March and onward I am totally open...)

I am currently interested in capturing images of or related to: Vintage/ retro style photography (1920's, 1950's & 1980's) Goth subculture, CyberPunk, Comicbook Cosplay, sexy geeks, Pin-ups, contemporary urban, Pulp/ Film Noir style, Science Fiction, Fetish, or anything edgy, gritty and exciting. I will honor any boundaries requested during a shoot, and always treat my models with professionalism and respect.

(You can see more of my pics and art on my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/artistbyday/
and my insta: _artistbyday_)

While I do use photoshop on some of my images, I don't care for super airbrushed or filtered pictures, and try to do any effects "in camera". I'm a sucker for old-school film cameras and usually bring at least one along to shoot with, secondary to the digital shots.

****************************************************
It's time to make all kinds of cool sexy art again, hopefully with all types of beautiful fresh faces and talent! I got into shoots with models around 2009 and have truly missed it recent years, especially when the pandemic brought it to a standstill. I don't know how many up and coming models will/ still use Model Mayhem, but I hope to discover many of you, with the same enthusiasm as when I first got into shoots 15 years ago.

"Daniel is such a dedicated artist- both in his day job of graphic design where he excels, but also in his photography, where he shows an indestructible determination to make each shoot count; for each interaction with the model to grow his art, and respects models as equals in artistic calibre. This mixed in with a great focus prepared for the shoot, with a little room to experiment and a friendly, if not a bit shy demeanor that instantly sets you at east. He also has great taste in music, and I learn a new favorite band each time I shoot with him. We've become real pals- I've hosted him in my Brooklyn apartment, and we've even become 'old-fashioned-pen-pals', albeit it is a talent that he surpasses me in!" Read less
