"Biography: It all began with a toy strawberry shortcake sewing machine. I was a child and it was pretend, but I knew I wanted to sew before I was allowed to. I admired a big box of thread, organized by color that my mother kept near her sewing machine. In high school, I took elective fashion classes, which taught me how to sew. Working for a dressmaker further engaged my interest in fabrics. In college, I discovered a love for color theory and the technology of textiles."
"Designer’s Statement: My designs bestow a feminine touch with charming color. Nature is always an influence whether obvious or discrete. Quality, integrity and environmentally healthy fabrics are most important to me. My plans are to leave not only the earth, but also the fashion world better than it was when I arrived, for the sake of those who will design long after we are gone."
