Brett has studied with well known Chicago based acting schools including Second City, Piven Theatre, and the Steppenwolf Theater.  His style is the perfect balance between raw talent and acquired ability.

Having performed in dozens of short films and plays for local colleges and universities, Brett grew very comfortable in front of the camera.  At seventeen, he began to work closely with Columbia University in Chicago. He was Peter Pan in an adaptation of the beloved tale at the Apollo Theater, and Sebastian in Shakespeare’s classic “The Twelfth Night”.  At nineteen Brett scored the lead in a horror/comedy cult classic Teenage Bikini Vampire.  The film was an official selection at the Trama Dance Film Festival and was raved about in Fangoria Magazine.  Brett gained true notice as a legitimate actor with his portrayal of Bryan Dowd in the award winning play Jerry Finnegan’s Sister.  The play ran for two weeks at Chicago’s famed Piper’s Alley, with Brett captivating the audience night after night. Co-Producer on the 2007 film Tale of a Suicidal Narcoleptic, Brett was Nominated for Best Actor in a Dramatic Feature at the Action On Film Festival.  The film was also honored at RIFF receiving a Runner-Up nomination. Brett brought the lead character Josh to life with a dry sarcasm and loveable loser-esque quality that made you fall in love with him.  Brett is currently in production on a feature film “Fear of Flying” due out in 2010, where he plays the lead character Brian. Brett is also in production on a comedy webseries “LALA Land” where he plays the co-starring role of Mike.

Finally Brett is making his directorial debut this year in his feature documentary film “AKA Private”. The films subject is Hollywood and the “artists” pursuit to stardom.
