LET US MAKE ALL THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ********************************************** ********************************************** An aside... This industry has made it a point of building itself around the "beautiful" (the "beautiful people", the images of those who supposedly embody "beauty"...). But, what about those who are not quite as "beautiful"; who is their mouthpiece, where is their forum... I love the art of Photography! Iâm no âDigital Johnny Come Latelyâ (ââ¦ooo, a digital cameraâ¦Iâve always wanted to be a photographerâ¦â). Iâve been doing photography for almost 27 years; Iâve got a SpeedGraphix 4x5 that I still use just for fun! I know that this is a passion that I am supposed to follow because Iâm still amazed when shot comes really HOT! Iâve done it all, from the darkroom to Chem Mixing, from aerial to architecture, but nothing blows my mind like Fashion & Glamour work, the sensation of having a Sistah of Divinity bearing her soul to me as I attempt to immortalize her! As I said, I love the artistry of âLight Writingâ. The stuff you see here will have an intense range, from available light to multiple strobe studio stuff; at times it can be raw (whateverâs there in the moment) and then at times, Iâll throw some very polished stuff at you; I can do simple portraiture as well as the Avant-Garde Risqueâ. I LOATHE THE NOTION OF HAVING TO TAKE THE SAME PICTURE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER...and over; I never want to take the same picture twice. When clients come to me saying, âI want to take a picture like that!â, I make it clear that we can do shot âlike thatâ, but definitely not the âsame shotâ! Thereâs a different energy, a different day, a totally feel for each person that stands before my lens, so Iâm not looking to re-create what Iâve already done. I appreciate a new challenge⦠I launched the BIGGEST exhibition/dissertation of my career in 2008 entitled âI Love Black Womenâ; the show gives homage to Sistahs who have been influential in my life and in my career, a tribute to SURVIVORS OF BREAST CANCER and an in depth discussion of the schisms created from contradictions of the fashion industry about their faux pas notions of beauty standards! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to support this tremendous project! THE BOOK IS STILL COMING! I have to be HELLA' HONEST here folks, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! It is incredibly insulting to request the services of a professional and not duly compensate them for their expertise! I've attempted to adjust my basic fees to accommodate the clients/members of MM, but pro bono work is rarely of an advantage to us. I have an extremely great crew that must properly be compensated, and when all is said and done, I'd like to continue paying my bills and be able to get a meal out of the whole process... Letâs keep it real folks, as with everyone else here in MM, Iâm looking for more work and more exposure; is there a photographer out there with âtoo much workâ or âtoo much exposureââ¦ânuff said! Iâd love to work with some new faces; diversity is always great! Iâm not looking to do âhoochie-hook-me-upsâ! I think Iâve paid enough dues in this industry to not be haggled. I love to travel, so feel free to contact me! I look forward to YOU gracing my lens one day very soon! Verified Credits (0)Worked with theSavvyStudios? Share your experience and become verified! The next shoot cost $345 and includes up to 4 hours of shooting time; all the peripherals from the 1st shoot would apply here as well. We'll shoot in the studio, and do some location work as well. I've been very blessed to find 4 TOP SHELF MUA's. 3 of the 4 have been trained by Hollywood's SAM FINE (Essence, Ebony Mag...)! Their rates are incredibly reasonable considering the tremendous talent that they deliver! They're base rate is $75 for the initial look, $25 for any enhancements/adjustments/changes. Airbrush is $85 per look; full body make up is starts at $125 depending upon the extent.
