About Me

Artist and director of photography Aaron McPolin is renowned for his opulent and matriarchal photography, which explores alternative themes juxtaposed with esoteric ideals of beauty. McPolins body of work has delved into the subculture of BDSM, with an IPA award in fine art and solo shows ‘A Tender Dissolution ‘and ‘A Pattern of Rebirth’ being exhibited and featured in ‘Beautiful Bizarre’ and ‘Playboy Magazine’, with his most recent exhibition ‘Treasure The Erotic’ exhibiting in Beverly Hills alongside co-artist Colin Burn. McPolins exhibitions require intense research, actively engaging with the subject being presented. It is through his own desire of self exploration that he strives to understand and shape what the viewer considers taboo, the standards of cultural norms and open questions of what is accepted and considered beautiful while containing elements of contrast, pulling and pushing the viewer, challenging them to engage and develop their own ideals.
