My name is Michael and I tend to defy easy classification: photographer/ artist/painter/retoucher who works on paper, canvas, walls, or glass! Writer, historian, artist, and photographer are daily jobs for me. I take film or digital images for the creation of all my artworks and publications. I am among the top “trompe l‘oeil” (to fool the eye) and photorealist artists in the country. Many of my images deal with social or historical issues and some are just aesthetically pleasing. Professionalism, creativity, passion, and play-fullness are qualities that I profess in my imagery and life. Making images is my everyday dream that has come true, whether it be in print, paint, pencil, or with a camera , and my work has garnered many national awards as well as being exhibited around the world. Often I need models for specific artworks, and sometimes, a great image becomes the artwork. I am willing to negotiate rates or will collaborate photos for model’s time (TFP and TFCD). I normally pay exceptional models for their time for art projects and release forms are a must. I need people who are open-minded and like to have fun in front of the camera. Models find me easy to work with. Time is precious, so reliability and being on time is a must when working with me. Become timeless as a work of art! I’ll bet Grant Wood’s sister and dentist never thought they would world famous by modeling in front of an old farmhouse in “American Gothic!”
