About Me

REST IN PEACE TIMOTHY W BUTCHER PHOTOGRAPHY 1967 - 2012

Tim Butcher, photographer, artist, musician, teacher, philanthropist and amazing man, passed away suddenly on Oct 14th, 2012. My name is Sabrina Cayne, I was one of the MUA/stylists and friends lucky enough to have worked with Tim. He was my best friend, boyfriend, teacher, and mentor and he will be missed deeply by everyone that admired and loved him. This profile page of his will be maintained but not altered (other than this message) as a memorial to his work as a photographer. I am sorry to anyone that has worked with him if this is your first knowledge of his passing. For anyone interested, his obituary was printed in the Oregonian on Oct 25, 2012 and can be found online. The Butcher family will be honoring Tim's life with the Timmy's Tower Memorial to be constructed at Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, Missouri. This memorial will showcase Tim's writing, art, and music. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Precious Moments Foundation in Carthage, Missouri.

==================================================

I was born here, planet Earth. I haven't moved around much since then, so I'm usually nearby.

This is my studio. It rocks, and I'll say it. It's cozy and fun, and best of all, it contains no nuclear waste, expired milk, or midgets (that I know of). There's racks of wardrobe and accessories and for all models (sizes 0-5 mostly), but you better bring your own blue jeans, cuz man, I'm not guessing your size. Also, bring your own chewing gum, wheel-chairs, party hats or whatnot; that stuff I don't prepare for. As far as looks, I don't do any shoots without one of my professional MUA/stylists (you know who you are, you fabulous kids!), provided at no cost to models. The atmosphere is 100% fun. And if anybody says otherwise, they probably just have a weird personality disorder, keep their own fingernail clippings, or listen to really lame music, or whatever.

Here's some of my pictures & models. If you're not in it, I prob'ly just didn't like your shoes or something.

I like making models look beautiful (mostly women but men welcome too). I like to work in a great one-of-a-kind atmosphere with great one-of-a-kind people. Also, I like very vinegary foods - but I digress. I don't need money and I'm not seeking wealth or fame - and I'll never BS models about 'making them famous' either. Photographers who bullshit models can shampoo my boxers. There's competition out there and if you get money or even good pics, be happy with that. It's all about getting great work and having a blast while you're still breathing.

PAY PHILOSOPHY: I do like TFP, but only for newbee's who don't have to pay for gas or expenses. Otherwise, I believe modeling is either hard work or just narcicism (but I'll reward equally). Most shoots pay a LITTLE at least for gas and time and stuff, and anything nude or demanding you can count on pretty decent pay for that day. And now that I have the floor, SCREW YOU to all photographers who pay their models nothing and make them pay for their own MUA's... dude how lame is THAT? OK, back to the profile stuff: all models get (at no cost) full CD sets, internet-size uploads, and free photo-editing of the good ones (25-100). NO gore, violence, porn, fetish, etc: I do tasteful semi-nudes, like in my port - nothing more extreme than that. Well, OK, sometimes I drink Mountain Dew - the commercials say that's extreme. And anything on TV is real, right?

Done zillions of shoots: big with lotsa models & small with individuals, and lots in between. I may feel like just normal beauty shots or art shots or crazy psychedelic computer stuff, depends on my mood that day. I expect my models to be professional as hell, and I keep a stellar reputation with all of them - cuz, why not? But I may be a bit demanding. If I overwork you, I'll try to, like, throw in some cookies, or a colored tv or whatever.

Well hey, it's been a real hoot chattin' it up with you, thanks for visiting ~
