About Me

1971-, American photographer, Sacramento, California. For the past twelve years Daniel has been one of California's most popular photographers. He specializes in action and is known for his Military and Emergency Medical Services photography. During the mid 90's he took his camera into the streets of Sacramento where he began to make exceptionally powerful images of Emergency Medical Service workers, which speak of the time and the world in which they live; among the best known of these is "Code 3" (1999).

(2002) Kaiser Permanente commissioned four photographs celebrating paramedics of the Sacramento area. Daniel's photographs emphasized the integrity, commitment and pride in an environment that is often highly volatile, dangerous and requiring immediate remedial action. His photographs were reproduced and displayed throughout the Emergency Medical Services community, helping to create a local awareness of the EMS worker plight and profoundly influencing Emergency Medical Services photojournalism by their simplicity and directness.

Since becoming a professional photographer, Daniel's work has appeared in BP Magazine, Davis Life Magazine, The Lodi Sentinel and The Sacramento Bee as well as many national and regional magazines, including business and sports publications. He has worked for many large corporations such as CSD Fire Department, Elk Grove Fire Department, Galt Fire Department, Sacramento Fire Department, Liberty Fire Department, Kaiser Permanente, Sacramento Children's Coarse, United States Marine Corp. and John Laing Homes.

(2007) CSD commissioned a cover shoot for their parks and recreational guidery, January issue. CSD also included seven more photographs celebrating the community.(2008) Kaiser Permanente commissioned six other photographs celebrating paramedics and firefighters in the Elk Grove and Galt areas better known as CSD.

Currently he is working with the United States Marine Corps. 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th FSSG as the unit photographer. He also works with Kaiser's Trauma Services, CSD and the 24th Street Theater as a freelance photographer.
