Hello, my name is Marice of Visual Intake. Visual Intake is my own art project that will someday be a full running design company. I'm fairly new to photography, well to put it bluntly, I'm an amateur.

I started off doing self portraits mainly because I wanted to showcase my makeup work (I'm Jack of all trades), but as time progressed and my interest in photography grew, I started to photograph my surroundings and several of my close friends, and sometimes that's no easy task because like me, they can be shy.


° I love urban and rural surroundings paired with a contrasting foregrounds

° Bright colors mixed with muted colors

° Opposing subjects

° Dirty grungy places, this means ghetto places up in here

° Random people on the streets

° Would love to shoot bands and groups

° I experiment with toy cameras (like my Holga CFN) and cross processing. I also love double and multiple exposures

° City night lights

° I love shots with real people full of emotions and excitement rather than shots with skinny tall models giving that hunched, hands on the side sucked in stomach pose. Y'all know which one I mean

° I use a lot or a little Photoshop in my work depending on the image I want to achieve

° I want to create surrealism and fantasy worlds

° I want to work with people who are open to out of the box ideas. Who aren't afraid to let those creative juices loose and experiment. I believe that with our mighty powers and ideas combined we can create total greatness!

° I don't own studio lighting or rather a studio, period. That means we're  gonna work with whatever we can find or get our hands on. Natural lighting, lighting from the streets, the sun, anything!

° Before I work with someone I would like to get together in person or online and share ideas of what we both have in mind, and it's a great chance to know each other better before shooting

Just so you know again, I am shy!! But once I feel comfortable then it's all good. I do not drive. Yes, at my age (working on it)... I depend on rides and public transportation, so momentarily I'm limited to working only around the Valley and LA Area. Every 3-4 months or so I travel up to San Jose and San Francisco, which means that is also an opportunity to work with people who live in the Bay Area.
