MAKEUP ARTISTRY:
My name is Sonji Clayton, my mother introduced me to the colourful world of cosmetics and makeup application from which I grew to love anything to do with the industry. At the tender age of fifteen, I was fortunate enough to be trained by the NO.1 Makeup Artist for one of the leading makeup brands of the time, I never looked back!

Since 1994 I have freelanced as a make-up artist and stylist covering the arenas of hair editorial, fashion shoots, photographic make-over studios, bridal, t.v. and major cultural shows. I teach as a lecturer in further education and privately. In addition I also run a small knitwear label, Eclectic Mix.

Since June 2006 I have been assigned as the leading make-up artist/make-up designer & stylist for various projects showcasing the work of (hair editorial/competitions/shows) clients include amongst others, awarding winning/celebrity hair stylist/artist, Angela Plummer (Sour2Sweet).

I  worked for six months as a Regional Makeup Artist for the multi-talented celebrity Makeup Artist, Daniel Sandler, who subsequently booked me to work on his creative team, alongside Toni & Guy, for the Georgina Harley-Smith Spr/Sum 08 Show for London Fashion Week (http://www.vogue.com).

Some of my other makeup heroes are Kevin Aucoin, Pat McGrath, Billy B and last but not least Sam Fine.

My professional services also include basic hairstyling on request.
