About Me

Greetings!

‘Pretty pictures’ are not of much interest to me.  My desire is to use photography as a way to express myself and my interactions with people, places, and moods.  It’s the connection to a person and a moment, in an emotional or provocative way, that is important to me.  When I capture an image well, it feels like writing a story or poem without using words.

I like to shoot with friends and acquaintances whenever I can because the trust is already established.  My style is personal.  I'm not a commercial photographer.  I typically don’t have detailed ideas pre-planned for a shoot.  I want to capture something spontaneous about you and let the mood and light take us on a journey.  You will find me working with both digital and film cameras.

A practical note:
•    I require a standard model release and photo ID before we begin shooting
