I am D. Carlyle Briggs. I am a photographer based in Washington, DC. I am also a true native of the city as well. When I became serious about photography, I started out by "dipping my toes" into every aspect of photography that I could. Throughout my exploration, I came find my strengths, weaknesses, passions, and turn offs. I have a lot of fun with portraits. Each one has a story to tell, even the story is the shoot itself. Then, with my artistic spirit, I started to gravitate toward fine art photography. I came to find that it offers me an outlet to express my inner revolutionary and I fell in love with how one photograph can capture a person's mind and force them to stop for even a few minutes to think about life. Finally, this exploratory journey brought into the realm of fashion. Let me tell ya, once I stepped into this arena, I felt right at home.

Fashion is a world where my creativity can flourish, my expressive voice can be heard, and People will stop and stare if image is powerful enough. That is the challenge. That is what I challenge myself with everytime that I work on a project. I want to create and present something that makes people stop and stare. While they're staring, I hope that they will start to think. Think about how they can not only look good in the product that I am selling to them but how the ideas that I express in the image will apply to them.

I also focus on advertising photography as well. If you want an extrememly effective ad campaign for your product, I am your guy. I sell ideas via visual presentation. I'm the best you've never heard of. I use my artist nature, sales experience, and visual design training to cut through the surface and speak right to the consumers' subconscious. I sell them on the idea of the product and history shows that PEOPLE REMEMBER 85% OF WHAT THEY SEE AND 15% OF WHAT THEY READ AND HEAR.
