About Me

A native New Yorker, Andrea Blanch graduate Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting. A fashion portrait & fine art photographer, Andrea began her career as a photographers assistant to the legendary Richard Avedon. Blanch has been involved in the world of photography for over 25 years and also attended NYU film school. In August 1996 Andrea made her directorial debut with Senseless, her first short film, which Blanch also produced and co-wrote.

Referred to as "the woman who knows how to capture a woman", her work has been published in Details, G.Q., French, English, American, German, Austrailan, and Italian Vogue, Elle, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, New York Times Magazine and Rolling Stone. It has also appeared in The Photography Annual #4, Vogue Fashion 1950-1980's, Communication Arts 1987, Photograph 3 by Little Brown, The White T by Alice Harris, The Jean Book by Alice Harris and Because I'm Worth It Assouline publications. Advertising clients include; Revlon, L'oreal, Mitsubishi, Johnny Walker, Universal Films, Valentino, and award-winning campaigns for Adrienne Vittadini, etc. Blanch has lectured for the Smithsonian Institute and has been interviewed by the same, the BBC & E. Exhibitions include; International Center of Photography fall 1997, The Art Director's League fall 1997, The Humane Society 2006-2007, Friends In Deed 1996-2006 and Project Hope 2006.
