Pe'a Monique is an up and coming Freelance Wardrobe Stylist. In 2006 Pe’a was introduced to the Fashion Industry after being noticed for her Fashion Forward style. She was approached by an up and coming girl group signed to Universal Records. They enlisted Pe’a as Image and Styling Consultant. Following this unique opportunity, just a few months later a business associate then recommended Pe’a to style models in a G-unit photo shoot; with photographer Shareif Ziyadat. After these coincidences Pe'a took the idea of the Fashion Industry to a more professional level. Enrolling in F.I.T she studied under industry veterans such as, Didier Dorot former Fashion photographer for Glamour Magazine. Nancy Alusick former Head Accessory Editor at Harpers Bazaar and Pamela Macklin former Fashion Director of Essence. Pe’a got more intricate knowledge, being trained and educated on the many facades of the industry. While enrolled at F.I.T Pe'a worked three consecutive seasons as an Assistant Wardrobe Technician for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. Working with fashion’s top designers such as Sean John, Rock and Republic, Baby Phat, and Betsey Johnson to name a few.
Pe’a graduated in 2010. She then began building her own professional portfolio. Honing in on the various networking skills she learned at F.I.T. she began Image Consulting for a popular VH1 reality show cast member. She was a featured Stylist on Essence.com. Then cast by Asylum Entertainment for a reality show pilot about a shopping enthusiast. These various tasks allowed Pe’a to sharpen her skills even further. She decided to set her sights on editorial styling. And in 2012 she was published in Face On magazine of the UK. Short term Pe’a would like to continue her freelance projects while she works to secure a position as a Fashion Director. She is currently working on submission projects, mentoring, styling workshops and working on her own Style Guide (release date TBD). Long term Pe'a hopes to develop a Styling and Image Consulting firm catering to Freelancers and new talent across the U.S. and Europe.
