I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Professional Photography and am building a portfolio as a professional photographer as an avocation.

My attitude toward photography is this:  “I won’t take a photograph of anybody or photographs for anybody unless it will do them some good."

I really want to create in a photograph what I see, not just a dry record of the material world, but an image with life in it, both the subject’s and mine.

I love all categories of photography, but fashion is the most fun because a team of individuals contribute their creative talents and technical expertise to produce an emotional impact.  It takes a team of professionals, at the very least a model plus photographer working together, but a great shoot is usually the result of a model, photographer, styist, hair & makeup and a lighting assistant all working well together toward a common purpose.

For fashion shots, I prefer a fresh, natural look. 

I find portraits a challenge to bring out the personality in a person, and I am constantly working to improve my skills in this area.

I particularly enjoy working with dancers, musicians and actors.

I'm looking to hook up with people who can do a professional job, learn from each other, and have fun doing it while we all work to achieve our goals.
