When it comes to trade shows, my lengthy career onstage really comes in handy--clients always praise my presence, intelligence, energy, and charisma; and in commission or lead-generation situations, I always seem to be the top producer. I'm remarkably good at picking up company information and industry lingo in the blink of an eye--most attendees I engage never even realize that I don't actually work for my client companies as a full-time employee!  And one of my best skills is qualifying leads, quickly narrowing down potentials, deftly passing them off to company sales agents, and returning to volume lead-generation...
Just for some examples: I was able to guide attendees at the 2008 Shot Show through the GunBroker.com website as well as their trained salespeople!  In fact, they half-seriously asked me to come back to Georgia with them to go into Customer Service, since I could explain the product as well as the in-site tutorials, and with a lot more spunk!  I was also the Lead model on the gig, responsible for interfacing with the client on behalf of the out-of-town booking agent (Gretchen Henson), and for managing the models' schedule each day.  GunBroker.com also repeat-booked me as the lone model to represent them at the NPA show in July 2008 and 2009, and I was just the lead model on the team for the Shot Show two weeks ago here in Vegas.

Catherine Maley, the Senior Marketing Strategist of Cosmetic Image Marketing (which specializes in marketing for Aesthetic Surgeons), so trusted my skills and presence that she brought me on as her sole meeting marketing/sales rep, manning the booth and conducting sales with the Doctors entirely on my own as she attended sessions at the June 2008 Multi-Specialty Foundation for Aesthetic Surgical Excellence meeting--and once she saw my skills, she later enlisted me as a virtual client maintenance agent.  I worked with Catherine and the Doctors again at MSFASE in 2009, and most recently, traveled to San Diego with her for the October 2009 Amercian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons meeting.  It was another great success for CIM, of course, and I'm already booked for July 2010!

Shlomo Weissman, of Fidelity Payment Services (a merchant credit card processing company out of NY) made me the first model he's ever re-booked, after I not only blew their minds with my sales abilities at CES 2009, but set up the booth on the first day when they were held up on their way to the show!  After that, they trusted me to manage the models AND set up the booth every day of the ASD show in August last year, and booked me to deliver again at TLPA in October 2009! Since I was already booked for Dell Computers by the time Fidelity made plans to attend CES 2010, we had to miss that opportunity--but our relationship continues, and I'm being trained as an independent sales agent just as soon as my trade show bookings allow me the time to do so!

Finally, after an apparently-impressive performance doing booth-to-booth lead generation for SmartBlast.com at the PPAI show here in Vegas in January, the company president Michael Johnston boooked me to do it again at the ASI show in New York in March (Michael particularly loved the notes I took on each lead).  David Craig of Computer Engineering took me to Chicago in November for the 2009 Fabtech after I knocked his socks off with the same show here in Vegas in 2008.
