Hello my name is Mark Shane, photography is my passion and profession and I believe it shows in the attention to detail and style I put into every photo I take. 

  I cringe when I hear a photographer say "I'll just fix it in Photoshop"  through my training and mentoring I shoot for correct in the camera and then make any improvements with computer enhancing.  Its an art form that is worth learning and doing right, the background and corners of the frame are every bit as important as the subject.  I am a deliberate studio photographer but can "shoot and scoot" when needed.  Also I have never lost a day of shooting due to conditions on location its my job to control and not to be controlled by the conditions hence "the magic of photography".

  My Studio and Art Gallery complex is located in the Merriman Valley on the edge of the Cuyahoga Valley National park.  Large floor to ceiling windows and french doors offering endless natural light options as well as a wide variety of creative flash employment, endless shooting and set options and a private rooftop garden patio (Im not in South Beach anymore so my hands are tied by "weather permitting" unless by a clients request there is really no need to roll out the seamless paper.  I am also available, completely equipped and staffed for "on location" assignments local and worldwide.

Escorts:  I have no problem with a model bringing someone along, especialy the first time to shoot with me.  I have nothing to hide when I shoot, I have a job to do but like to keep a relaxed, fun, open atmosphere (thats why I do this for a living and dont work in an office).  With the world being what it is today it is not a unreasonable request.  I ask that its limited to 1 person and dont be suprised if they get put to work   Please understand if they become a distraction they will be asked to wait elsewhere or the shoot will be over...I care about your comfort but there is a job to get done.

  I receive email alerts for friend requests as well as messages and will return an answer as soon as I can.  I dont spend very much time on here but have great friends and contacts as well as being a valuable resource.  I guess to quote one of my teachers and good friends "If youre talking you arnt working"

  From time to time I run Photographer workshops that I need models for where you receive shots from each photographer in return for your time as well as if there is enough interest a day that I book 8 to 10 models each with a 1 hour time slot 1 design set 1 headshot and 1 seamless set (hair, makeup and wardrobe are the models responsibility)
