***FAQ for those models who might be willing to work with me****

1. Do you TF*? Do you pay to models? Do models pay to you?

I am a photographer working in TF* modality exclusively. If you contact me for a shooting, please, do not expect to gain some profit from me. I usually do not take money from models and wouldn't like to be asked for payment.

2. So what is your interest to shoot for free? Why could shooting for free be of my interest?

I am a stock photographer who works with famous photobanks like iStockPhoto, Fotolia, Shutterstock etc, where I sell photos I produce. Later on, dozens of thousand magazines, brochures and advertising leaflets, which are published across the world daily, dozens thousand new websites, which appear daily, consume these stock photos in huge amounts. It means, that one day you can find your photo on a cover of some magazine, on a shop window, on a bigboard, on a banner of a site, etc. I am sure this will give you a lot of moral satisfaction, won't it?

3. May I pretend any commissions from your photobank earnings?

No. The answer for this question is subsumed by the answer for question 1.

4. Should I be an experienced model?

No. Experience helps but it is not necessary. I would gladfully shoot you either you are a woman or a man, either you are young or senior, either you are experienced model or just make your first attempts to step into model business. I shoot children, teenagers, young people, adults, seniors; I shoot single persons, couples, families, groups. Whatever you propose me, I'll be happy to shoot.

The only requirements is that you should have pretty face, beautiful smile, slim body and clean skin. You should also feel relaxed in front of the camera and be willing to improvise.

5. What kind of photos you are interested in?

Business, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, sport. Your proposals are welcome as well!

6. What is a photosession held?

Shootings may be held either in studio or outdoors. The latter depends on the weather.

Photosession usually lasts 2-3 ore with resulting 300-400 photos as outcome. It is expected around 2-3 changes of cloths.

7. What are requirements for cloths, hair, make-up?

Cloths should be of monotone color or of monotone graphics. Namely, the exact designer of your dress should not be distinguishable. Hence, no "GUCCI" or "Armani" across your dress should be visible. No, funny bunnies or bears should be depicted. Only simple floral or geometric pattern is acceptable. The more monotonic design, the better is.

I can invite very good make-up artist and hair stylist (the same person), who takes around 50 euro for her work. If you think that you or your friend can do your make-up and hair better, you are welcome to rely on yourself or your friend. Please, be really sure that you know how to deal with make-up and hair for photo.

In any case, try to achieve the maxim perfectness in your look: cloths should be clean, arined and without any textile defects, hair should be clean and arranged accurately, make-up should hide all blemishes and make your skin smooth and matt, nails should be manicured. Remember: everything, any tiny imperfection, is seen on the photo!

8. What will I receive after photosession?

After photosession, I will write down all photos without any retouching on CD and will send it to you by normal mail. CD-photos will be in high resolution 3888x2592, i.e. 10Mp, just like the camera captured them. They will not have any watermark.

As I proceed with a retouching, I will send you processed photos in size of 5616x3744, i.e. 21 Mp. Retouching will be of high quality and photos will contain my signature that will not cover significant elements of image.

Ad a bonus of our collaboration, I can propose you 10 stamps of retouched photos for free. Stamps will be of size 20x30 cm, i.e. in format A4. Photoagencies ask for the same service around €600-1000, excluding printing, CD with original images, high resolution: only photoshooting with a couple of retouched photos.

9. How can I use photos you release to me?

All photos you receive from me can be used only for personal reason, e.g., in Facebook, in portfolio you would like to show to model agency, printed in family album etc. The photos CANNOT BE used for commercial purposes, i.e. you cannot sell them or gift to somebody who might want to sell them.

10. What about model release?

Yes, I will ask you to sign a model release for me. If you don't know what a model release is, I explain you shortly that a model release is a formal agreement between model and photographer about usage of images of model made by photographer. Images cannot be used for any purpose without model release signed by the major model. If the model is minor, the model release should be signed by her/his parents or tutors.

All professional models regularly sign model releases. However, this practice may confuse models-begginers.

If you still feel perplexed to sign a release but anyway you would like to have a photosession, I will kindly ask you to pay €500 for my service and you will receive all items mentioned in the answer for question 8.

11. What is your equipment?

I shoot with a professional camera Canon EOS 5D Mark II with a range of objectives of high class (70-200 f/4L, 100 macro f/2.8, 17-40 f/4L, 50 f/1.8). I also use portable light of Canon Speedlite 580 Ex II and Canon Speedlite 430 Ex II.

12. I understand all what I read. I am interested in photoshooting with Natalia Macheda, I am major and convinced to sign a model release (or I am minor and my parents/tutors are convinced to sign a model release). What should I do now?

* write about yourself, your interests, hobbies etc, everything that will help me think about possible idea for photosession.
* attach 10-15 photos of yourself where I can clearly see you face, smile, body. The photos should be pretty fresh, let's say no older that 2-3 months.
* attach 5-10 images that show me what kind of character you would like to interpret during our photosession.

and I will respond you as soon as possible, and we will make something beautiful.
