I began my journey toward photography as a model/musician. In addition to modeling in my own shoots I would perform as a stylist/makeup artist alongside photographers and occasionally act as a backup photographer. Being a jack of all trades, I purchased and mastered Adobe Photoshop editing software after becoming frustrated with photographers that provided poor or no editing on photos they shot. Then one day while observing the work of some local photographers, I found myself disgusted by the lack of professionalism and editing they presented in their photos (blemishes, stretch marks, bad coloring, etc.) and how the women in their photos were being presented. So I went out, purchased a professional Nikon camera, began studying digital and fashion photography, and started working as a freelance photographer. The rest is history and I now have my own company, Debut Photography. As a woman I know how image conscious we woman (and some men) are and my goal is to make sure that each photo showcases only the best and most unique representation of my models.
