Hello!
I am a professional illustrator. I am also a Professor of Illustration at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in beautiful Midtown Detroit. I mainly use this site to book models to pose for my figurative classes at the college. Although, I will sometimes hire models to pose for reference photos to use in my illustrations (think Norman Rockwell). If you are a model, and interested in posing for my classes feel free to message me. I mainly work with nudes, but sometimes will schedule a purely portrait or costumed pose. I'm happy to work with models that have not posed for artists before. The nature of the session allows me to direct the poses and meet with the model beforehand to discuss what I'll be looking for. All models are compensated for their time. I suggest reviewing this helpful literature "The Art Model's Handbook: The Naked Truth about Posing for Art Classes and Fine Artists": http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1442169699?ie=UTF8&tag=artistperspec-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1442169699 **The figure model honors the artist by posing for him/her, and the artist honors the model by genuinely attempting to capture the spirit of the pose. I am very serious about my classes, and nothing is worse than scheduling in a model who haphazardly decides not to show up at the last minute. This is disrespectful to me and my class of students eager to learn. It also shows poor character. I love Model Mayhem, because it has allowed me to work with incredible people who I value dearly. But there is a stunning amount of models who completely disregard their commitments. Don't do this. I am a professional, and I expect professionalism and courtesy from the models I work with.** Relevant links: My profile at the college: http://www.collegeforcreativestudies.edu/Faculty/3202/Vallejo/ Anatomy project: http://mastersofanatomy.com/francis-vallejo Recent Interview: http://www.therawbook.com/2014/07/03/francis/ Cheers! -francis ========== Verified Credits (0)Worked with Francis Vallejo?
