I have an abiding passion for black-and-white images. Like all art, photography needs to have an impact on the viewer. It should give them pause, make them see something in a way that it hasn’t been seen before, challenge an assumption, create shock, or even just delight the eye and bring a sense of joy and wonder. Conveying a thought, or reaching the emotions and mind of the viewer, without the use of color is a personally rewarding challenge.
A few of my pieces have placed in regional juried shows. Currently I’m working on some projects that involve both studio and outdoor location shoots with the artistic use of nudes. The collaboration that can occur between photographer and model/muse in shaping an artistic vision is inspiring. If you have a vision that you want to create, or to share in one of mine, please contact me so we can talk and share ideas. Models of any ethnic background and older than 18 will be considered.
