Red Edge is my account for showcasing my infrared photography. The photos here will be largely be shot in nature, where natural infrared light is abundant and there are many irregular surfaces to create a rich texture to the photos. I'm also fascinated by how certain things look under infrared light - like tattoos. Tattoos seem to glow back in IR.

So, nature and things that capture my attention will be the focus here.

Part of the purpose in ONLY showing IR work is that many people mistake IR photos for heavy duty photoshop work. I don't want there to be any confusion with these works. ALL of the photos here are shot with a camera converted to only take IR pictures.

The infrared 'red edge' refers to the change in surface reflectance in plants and trees where the leaves begin to strongly reflect infrared light. The term has a wiki page and everything http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_edge
