Artist’s Statement

Photography has been a passion for over thirty years, in every sense of the word passion. Starting with snapshots of the kids growing up and progressing to creative projects involving nature, landscape, sports and even work, photography has been a creative outlet with few boundaries.

Photography can be what you want it to be.

Taking the picture is only the first step in the creative process. Capturing that moment; be it a moment in time, a place or an object; freezing the image that your eye sees forever is the adventure of photography. The world passes by quickly with something seen at this moment never to be seen again.

Challenging the eye and the mind is the creative part of photography that is most satisfying today. The steps you can take after the moment has been frozen in time are the ones most satisfying. What is seen in the photograph that was not seen when the picture was taken? It can be what you want it to be, or what your eye and mind want it to be.
