Greetings! I'm Zak Metz, and with my wife Andrea we are A Fresh Perspective Photography, LLC, based in Southeastern Minnesota in a little town called Kenyon, near Wanamingo and Faribault, about 45 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul and Rochester.

I started shooting when I was writing a music magazine. I loved shooting rock concerts, but didn't care for the writing. So after shooting concerts for a few years, I decided to take a whack at portrait, wedding, and high school senior photography. Now I'm looking to explore more creatively and fill out my portfolio with some model work. You can see many more samples of my work under Portfolios on:

I'm particularly interested in working with punk, goth, tattood, and pierced individuals-the more extreme, the better. We're quite liberal and accepting here. This is TFCD with basic retouching. I can do full "glamour" retouching for $10/image.

I have a large home studio and do on-location shoots within a reasonable distance. I'm interested in working with local models who are ready to practice with a relative newcomer. If you're new to modeling and want to learn together, or experienced and willing to teach me a thing or two, drop me a line! I'm not new to photography, just new to model photography.

Not a creeper; my wife is involved in every shoot and is an integral part of our creative process. You're encouraged to bring a friend, though. They can help bring out your genuine smile.

We have a couple little girls, two and four, and a little boy, 4 mos. So if you have a little one we can get one sitter and they can play while we shoot. If not, I try to schedule shoots a little later in the evening. My studio has a lot of windows and it's just too bright during the day unless we're working with available light. And we can have the kids in bed, which makes it a lot easier!
