My landscapes & cityscapes have been in magazines, on calendars and hung in galleries but I want to develop my skills in portraiture and physique photography.

I'm a self-taught photographer keen to express my creativity and work with imaginative people. I am more interested in art than fashion, though fashion photography seems to be the last creative realm in art these days.

I studied art history before becoming interested in photography and I hope viewers spot influences by Caravaggio, Vermeer and other painters who had an eye for good lighting. 

I want to produce fine art prints and gallery exhibitions, with a sideline in books and calendars. Let me know if you want to take part. At this stage I can swap TFCD.

I would also appreciate hearing from other photographers in the field.

MY TOOLS
- Pentax K5 dSLR
- B&W film cameras including 1940s Kodak Hawkeye
- Photoshop or Lightroom for cropping and only the slightest 'tweaks' because if the image wasn't already 99% to my satisfaction when I took it, to me that means the shot was a failure

WHAT I LIKE
- Faces with character
- Expressive eyes
- Creative models who can make the most of a simple setup
- The use of available light or simple studio lighting

WHAT I AVOID
- Pouting models that look underfed and unhappy
- Poses that make the model look like a robot
- Post-processing techniques that give faces a plastic sheen, turn eyes into glass and make skin look like metal

TRAVEL PLANS
- London 2-3 times a year
- Spain 1-2 times a year, usually Madrid or Barcelona
- USA every 2-3 years
