Well, just what is a head shot, anyway?

A head shot is the most important marketing tool in a model's or actor's arsenal. You have only a moment to grab the attention of a casting director, client, photographer, or other buyer of talent.  Your head shot must show how you look, who you are and what you can do!  It is more than just a picture – it is a selling portrait and, as such, must catch the eye in a split second.  The head shot is the calling card for an actor or model and must balance realism and truth with drama and emotion.
