My name is Miss Chubi, and I'm the owner/creator of Elegy - a small independent clothing boutique. My love and specialization is the Gothic Lolita style, and I've got lots of experiencing designing and making clothing for women of all sizes. Lolita fashion is elegant, modest, and beautiful, and I strive to attain that not only in the models I work with, but in shoots as well.

I'm on this site for networking purposes in order to connect with and find local photographers/models to promote and show my work in the best light possible. I make and design clothing, and the photographing of my work has always been my weak point. That and the fact that if I'm not modeling my work, then it usually just hangs on a dress form, and honestly, my work looks a lot better on a human than a form.

★ After doing several shoots, I've realized that I prefer shorter models - usually around the 5'2" mark, but nothing taller than 5'6" (this pertains to females only). Personally, I think shorter models look more "dolly" and help lend to that innocent, adorable look that I aim to capture in my shoots. It also makes it a lot easier on me to find a petticoat that will lend a lot of poof, as well as having to use less fabric/materials.

★ After being on MM for about a year, and having lots of models contact me about doing shoots, I think it's necessary to be upfront about my intentions/planning of photo shoots. I've been a lot more focused on putting out collections rather than one-off designs, which means I've been organizing a few group shoots a year, rather than random solos. If you contact me about doing a shoot and don't hear back, please consider this. I'm super busy and don't really have time to create looks specifically for a one-time, non-paying, non-published shoot.
