Retired senior citizen returning to photography after 50 years of being away earning a living. Early experience was all black and white photojournalism type including all darkroom processes.

Digital photography has been like starting anew with limited experience.

After retiring from one career I have no desire to start another career in photography. I am seriously striving to become a competent amateur photographer.

Being without a studio, photo shoots are mainly outdoors (which can be problematic with Juneau weather). However, I usually travel to Anchorage, Fairbanks and the Yukon each summer. I also try to make an annual driving trip to the "lower 48." Because of my limited walking ability, outdoor shoot locations must be close to parking. The alternative is a hotel room, but I am also fine with shooting at a private residence.

I prefer to meet for coffee or a soft drink prior to any photo shoot.
