About Me

Tumbling into London off the back of several years living and designing in Africa, I finished studying Jewellery Design with a wealth of cultural influences. However, I’d never forgotten a youth growing up on England’s streets with Punks and Skaters – getting spat and sworn at in public for being a little more than creative with our dress. The colours and forms spinning round in our heads spread from our fingertips to our clothes, up and across the walls – to decorate our urban landscape with new ideas.

Drawing from my experiences in Africa – I wanted to tell stories in my collection – so I gathered my urban scrawl into long lines of poetry, which I draped over delicate wrists and backs. Working these lines into silver and gold – I used skin as my canvas – drawing across the body in Japanese inks to capture the true flow and contour of the human form. Lifting the designs literally from the body meant that each piece fits and compliments the wearer perfectly. I do not believe a piece of jewellery conceived on a 2D sheet of white paper can relate to us in quite the same way. I also wanted a more intimate way to wrap words around the body than just your traditional engraving on a wedding band. Herein lies the concept that ties each customer into a unique piece of jewellery.

I'm here on ModelMayhem to source models that would like to cover their bodies in my jewellery and photographers who'd like to shoot it. I'm always making new collection pieces - so if there's something not on my portfolio but you need it made for a particular shoot - let me know. I'm a fully qualified Goldsmith and Gemmologist. I'm also very keen to collab with other stylists/MUA's who think my work would blend nicely with their ideas...

Looking forward to meeting you!
