Paul Winstone Photography (aka Existing Light Photography) is based near Kingston-upon-Thames in south London

It features the work of Paul Winstone, an experienced photographer who has focused on beauty and fashion photography over recent years, having previously worked primarily in landscape, cityscape and architectural photography. That background still informs my fashion photography.

My usual preference is to use existing or available light on location, modifying that with scrims and reflectors as and where necessary. However, I also have studio experience and am happy to work in such environments, either with available light or with studio strobes.

I am also an experienced photo retoucher, able to get the most out of any image using a mix of Lightroom and Photoshop to develop a very high quality end result

My approach is simply to get the very best shots I can, which emphasise the beauty of each person and also hopefully capture something of their personality. I also pay particular attention to locations and backgrounds, wherever possible using architectural details or the surrounding landscape to create striking and stylish compositions.

My main work is a mix of portfolio, look book and website shoots for models, performers, designers and other professionals, where I feel I can guarantee images that will establish and enhance your presentation to the wider market. In addition, I am increasingly collaborating with other creatives - hair and make-up artists, stylists and designers to produce ever more creative and stylish outcomes for editorial shoots.

I aim to work collaboratively with clients, models and other creatives in the team to to produce the best and most creative images possible, including discussion of potential locations, themes and moods for the shoot, often using Pinterest to build shared inspirational moodboards for a shoot

I find I can establish an excellent rapport with clients, models and other creatives before, during and after the shoot, which really helps in developing a very relaxed atmosphere and producing the best results. I'm happy to provide references with designers and models I have worked with.
