My name's D.J. and I love photography. LOVE photography. There's something about photos that I connect with much more deeply than any other artistic medium. I love the grounded connection to reality that every photo starts with, but also the fantastical element that can be intertwined within it in a way that can't be seen in real life.

Conceptual portraiture is what made me realize I was on to something when I first picked up a camera over a decade ago. The ability to express emotions and bring concepts to life is something I've never been able to achieve adeptly before I was introduced to photography. My photos tend to err on the darker side, but vibrant colors can be just as compelling. Hell sometimes using color can be dark too ;).

I'm open to any ideas and concepts that you might have as well. I would LOVE to work with great, talented artists here who have their own ideas or maybe things they've always wanted to try, but never had someone willing to do them. We could also blend concepts together and make it truly a collaborative experience from beginning to end. I love trying new things, so just because the concept may not seem to fit the work that I've done, doesn't mean I'm not willing to try them. You never know.

Above all else, this is a strong passion of mine and I'd love to share that passion with those who also feel strongly about what they love too. I want to look at a photo and not just see it, but feel it as well and I want you to feel the same.
