About Me

I'm a part time professional or semi-professional photographer - I haven't quit my (totally different) day job yet. In the past few years I have mainly worked with landscape photography, and also run a small-scale fine art printing company (color-calibrated workflow, museum-quality pigments, papers and matting). In the field of people photography I have done a small number of weddings and portrait commissions, some editorial work (including covers), and some figure study projects for my own enjoyment and professional development. I am available for photography projects, terms and compensation to be negotiated based on what the contract covers. If necessary I can put together, and bid on, complete projects including models, MUA etc., post-processing and prints and posters as needed. I have high grade portable studio lighting and backdrop equipment for indoor and outdoor location shoots, when needed, and can travel as required. I seldom work on an hourly basis.

Schedule permitting, I would be happy to do TFP/TFCD sessions to help build model portfolios, and to collaborate on artistic projects. For these I very much prefer to control my own post-processing and printing, but will gladly work together with make-up artists and other professionals. I do have a lot of ideas and projects of my own, but I am also willing and able to work in projects, or with artists and models, where the governing artistic vision and concept is driven by somebody else or jointly developed.

A model release or standard form contract will be required for TFP/TFCD. When developing portfolios on a TF* basis it would be ideal to arrange for a set of shoots over a period of time. I have found that developing some familiarity with how a person looks through the post-processing and printing workflow, and then being able to return to the subject, leads to a much higher quality set of pictures. A typical sequence, with a new model, might be 3-4 three-hour shoots spread over a one to two month period. These would result in 15-20 portfolio-grade prints, and a CD with these and some additional post-processed image files. I can, of course, also do single shoots. Please do not hesitate to get in touch!

Comments and messages are always welcome and highly appreciated, but I like to be quite selective with respect to listing people here as friends. I limit to those I have worked with, basically. Please do not be offended if I decline when we haven't done that - yet.
