NOTE: Our studio plan has been put on hold indefinitely since we were unable to get any participation from local photographers. April-May 2016, we plan to open a 5000 square foot studio in downtown Jacksonville, NC. We are looking for photographers in Eastern North Carolina, who would like to have access to four or five large “shoot ready” studios within a single complex. We are developing a business plan that will include reasonable hourly rates ($25-$50) for studio time and an annual membership plan. We will be using an appointment system that allows photographers, models, make-up artists, and clients to book studios and make appointments. You can also continue to book your own client appointments and rent studio time.

Studios will contain lighting, furniture, and photo backgrounds. The two story brick building has room for four studios on the second floor that can be configured for popular types of photo shoots (Portrait, Boudoir, Pin-up, Product, Green Screen, etc.). The first floor will contain a reception/retail sales area and a number of themed based sets. Members will have the opportunity to display their framed photographs for sale on a commission basis.

The building is located within a block of Riverwalk Park where several festivals are held each year that draw several thousand people. A short walk from the studio offers access to shooting locations in the park, along the New River, and old buildings in the downtown. The studio also offers photographers the ability to do outdoor shoots with close access to a facility to do wardrobe changes.
